Scotland's Mid West - Crinan Canal

We are looking across Kilmartin Glen and Moine Mhor (the great moss) which was part of the ancient Kingdom of Dalriada, 1500 years ago. The canal was opened in 1801 and is listed as a technological monument. The bridge swings around to allow canal traffic to pass up and down river.
